Tanner Emery, President
Tanner began his insurance career as a Financial Representative Intern for Northwestern Mutual. That is where he discovered his passion for insurance and helping families and business owners. He then moved on and became a Sales Representative for a local State Farm Agent. In 2017, he left State Farm and started Tonka Insurance Agency, Inc. Tanner loves to meet and sit down with families while also forming connections with the local community. He also enjoys networking and getting to know local business owners. When not working, you can find Tanner traveling, spending time with family and exploring the outdoors. Tanner currently resides in Plymouth with his wife Tiana, 3 children (Eliana, Easton & Serena) and their two rescue dogs, Mikko and Minnie.

Alexis Nelson, Account Manager
Alexis began her insurance career at Allstate Insurance in 2016 where she found her passion of helping people and assisting clients with their insurance needs. In 2020, she joined the Tonka Insurance team where she looks forward to educating clients on their insurance and ensuring they get the best service! While not working, Alexis likes to spend time with her family and friends. When the snow is gone, Alexis and her husband like to go for rides on their motorcycle. Alexis currently lives Montrose with her husband, four kids, 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Callie Dahl, Account Manager
Callie began her insurance career at American Family Insurance in 2014 where she found her passion for helping clients in every aspect of their insurance needs. In 2021, she joined the Tonka Insurance team & is excited to continue to assist clients and provide the best customer service out there! While not working, Callie enjoys spending time with family and friends, birding and traveling. Callie currently resides in Waverly with her husband & large Mastiff pup, Sarge.

Chad began his insurance career in 2024 when he joined the Tonka Insurance team. He brings a unique perspective shaped by a decade-long career in professional fishing. Born and raised around Lake Minnetonka, Chad has been involved in the local community through his fishing endeavors. He is now eager to transition those skills into the insurance sector. His commitment to exceptional customer service and building strong community connections drives his passion for helping clients find the best coverage solutions. Josh Radziej, Agent
Josh began his insurance career in 2016 at State Farm Insurance. He is licensed in Property casualty, life, and health. Josh is involved in many things in the community. He is on the board of the Excelsior Lions, ambassador of the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber, member of the Excelsior Rotary and CEO of the Excelsior Downtown Business Group. In addition, he enjoys volunteering at the Lake Minnetonka Historical Society. He moved to Tonka Insurance in 2025 to better serve and manage his clients needs. When Josh isn’t working, he is traveling the world. He also enjoys boating, skiing, and hiking.

Emily Oerter, Commercial Account Manager
Emily began her insurance career at American Family Corporate in 2017. She is licensed in Property & Casualty, Life and Health and takes pride in delivering exceptional insurance solutions for families and businesses across multiple states. In 2026, she joined Tonka Insurance to best serve client needs. When Emily isn’t working, she enjoys traveling and planning her next adventure. She also loves golfing and spending quality time with friends and family. Emily currently resides in Chaska with her boyfriend and their dog, Beau.

Charlie Theros, Agent
After a successful career in the hospitality industry as a manager, owner, operator, Charlie made the pivot into insurance in 2021. Charlie is passionate about business insurance as he enjoys speaking with owners and learning about their operation and the challenges that they face. Charlie spent three and a half years at a national brokerage and learned how an agency can benefit its clients in consultation, service, strategic development and risk management.
When not reading policies or chatting on the phone with clients and potential clients, Charlie can be found on the golf course, sometimes looking for his golf ball sometimes hitting lasers at the flag, at Gopher Football games or dining out at one of the many restaurants in the Twin Cities area. Charlie lives in Edina with his wife Debbie and their Wheaten Terrier Chloe.
